Overview
This course is designed to enable the students to apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in the previous semester on the analysis of current geopolitical and geo-economic developments and security challenges. It will focus on the relation between energy supply and war, trade wars, maritime conflicts in the Eastern Mediterranean and elsewhere, migration, EU-NATO responses to the main global security problems and so on. Lastly, it will seek to advance the understanding of a specific issue in the concept of energy security and geopolitics: how do major energy projects affect regional ethnic conflicts and the overall stability of a region?
